Mindy grew up in Camanche Iowa, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. In 1998, Mindy moved to Chicago and lived in Chicago and the suburbs until 2015, working for the law firms of Thomas M. Tully & Associates as a Legal Assistant and Griffith & Jacobson as a Legal Assistant and Office Manager.

After moving back to Iowa in 2015, Mindy worked as a Legal Assistant at another law firm in Cedar Rapids for six years before joining Howes Law Firm as Office Manager and Probate Paralegal to Steve Howes.

Mindy lives in Iowa City with her two daughters and their dogs.
